The recent renovation of the old Commonwealth Bank building in Martin Place, Sydney involved removing the entire centre of the buildings top 11 floors and installing a 20 metre high ‘bubble’ roof.

Erco designed the blind systems for the bubble roof, these included:

  • Uplift shades narrowing at the top, driven by Erco constant drives through the complex curved ends and corners.  Additional straight Uplift shades were also used on the curved side walls.
  • Abrishade system driven by the Somfy FTC through the atrium roof and
  • ErcoZip systems for the sloping internal side walls.

Multiple Erco Uplift blinds, narrowing at the top were installed for the dome roofing.
